Rijeka 2020 – European Capital of Culture will participate at the round table Culture-Powered City Diplomacy on March 19, 2019 at the European Parliament in Brussels.

A prize draw will be held as part of Rijeka's European Capital of Culture presentation at the leading European travel trade show – ITB Berlin, which will take place from 6 to 10 March, with the four luckiest visitors winning a free stay in Rijeka at the time of the opening ceremony of the Rijeka 2020 – European Capital of Culture project programme on 1 February 2020.
The mayor of Rijeka, Vojko Obersnel, the director of RIJEKA 2020, Emina Višnić, and the Development and Strategic Partnership Division Manager in RIJEKA 2020, Irena Kregar Šegota, are staying as guests in Tokyo, Japan, on 20-24 February, where they will present the Rijeka 2020 - European Capital of Culture (ECoC) project.
The Lungomare flagship of the Rijeka 2020 – European Capital of Culture project will display permanent artworks at 10 locations in the Kvarner region: Brseč, Lovranska Draga, Volosko, the Rijeka fish market, Grčevo beach in Rijeka, Kostrena, Crikvenica, Lopar on Rab Island, near Baška on Krk Island and on Mali Lošinj.
A video promoting Rijeka as a port of diversity was shot at various captivating locations around the city.
The Rijeka 2020 – European Capital of Culture project will be showcased in Belgrade from 14 to 22 March 2019.
