An exhibition dedicated to one of the most popular comic books in the region, the cult Alan Ford, will open on Wednesday, 7 October, at 7 pm at the Kortil gallery.

The exhibition Half a Century with Alan Ford will be held as part of the 19th edition of the Day of Italian Culture of the Consulate General of the Italian Republic in Rijeka and the 20th edition of the Week of the Italian Language in the World, and will open to the public in Rijeka following Milan.

The exhibition covers the history of one of the longest-running and most popular Italian serial comic books, which has succeeded in winning over several generations of readers with its original blend of irony, humour, satire and the surreal.

Visitors will have the chance to track the evolution of the character of Alan Ford and become familiar with his friends and enemies, as well as recurring themes from the series. In addition to sketches made by its two creators, Magnus and Max Bunker, and original issues of the comic book, original book copies and interesting items tied in with the comic book and its authors will also be displayed. The author of the exhibit is Luca Bertuzzi.
