The Smoqua International Festival of Queer and Feminist Culture will take place in Rijeka from 23 to 25 May.
The festival will bring together dozens of artists, activists and guests from Croatia and abroad and will feature performances, workshops, concerts, panel discussions and other activities that will allow visitors to learn more about the importance and history of queer and feminist movements. Smoqua was envisioned as a fusion of art and activism that questions social norms, which is why the theme of this year’s edition is norm, normalcy and normativity. The Smoqua festival will be held in partnership with the Kitchen flagship.
