The 52nd Movement, a concert performance by Urban&4, Ante Gelo, and a string orchestra, all of whom have teamed up specifically for this occasion, will be held near Export, at the Rijeka Delta on Saturday, 19 September 2020, at 8.30 p.m.

Some of Urban’s best known songs will be played at the concert, starting with Laufer’s legendary hits, such as “Moja voda” (“My Water”), followed by “Astronaut” or “Mjesto za mene” (“Room for Me”), and ending with the most recent releases that have quickly won over audiences, including “Iskra” (“Spark”), “Div” (“Giant”) and “Nitko osim nas” (“No One but Us”).

Damir Urban’s career-spanning concert will provide the audience with a string of familiar hits, albeit slightly altered and with brand new arrangements, courtesy of the remarkable guitarist, composer and arranger Ante Gelo.

This seamless blend of classical and modern instruments gives credence to the timelessness of the songs.

In a way, the 52nd Movement concert is the Rijeka version of Urban&4’s incredible performance with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra last July at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall in Zagreb. It should be noted that the concert in question was recorded for the eponymous live album, which was released by Croatia Records and won an impressive 5 Porin Awards, the most that Urban has won for a single release.

Still, this is another city and time we live in, and Damir Urban promises a completely different experience. The last time he played in front of an audience in Rijeka with his backing “foursome” was the concert at Pogon Kulture in December of 2019.

I am aware that many people are intrigued by the name, The 52nd Movement, but they shouldn’t fret about it, since there is plenty of time for revealing secrets, Urban cheerfully states, as he eagerly awaits his loyal fans to show up near Export, at the Delta, Rijeka’s latest cultural hub, on 19 September.
