At the meeting on Thursday, July 18, in the premises of RiHub, the Assembly of PartnerRi Business Club association unanimously selected six projects that are currently being implemented in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County in the fields of culture, arts and social innovations, that they will co-finance in the total amount of HRK 100,000. In April, PartneRi Business Club announced the first call for project funding with the aim of raising the quality of life in the local community and promoting socially responsible behaviour and cooperation with the community through investments in culture, art and social innovation, for which they received 37 applications.
The greening of the city centre, redevelopment of urban gardens, nurseries and a sensory garden with a composting plant or the beautification of the green roundabout are just some of the projects that were approved in the first round of the public call for submissions as part of the Green Wave project, which was presented to the citizens at the Info Day of the European Capital of Culture's Participate! campaign.
Another Participate campaign organised by the Rijeka 2020 - European Capital of Culture is underway, inviting citizens to transform their city, make decisions or volunteer.
The interior of RiHub, designed by Ana Boljar and Ida Križaj Leko, has been nominated for the Croatian Architects' Association annual Bernardo Bernardi Award.
Experts with experience in cultural branding, such as Erik Kessels, MUZE, Kai Amberla and Miguel Rivas, along with a number of Croatian keynote speakers, will gather in one place and discuss branding trends and challenges at the "Branding of culture" international conference, which will be organised as part of the Rijeka 2020 – European Capital of Culture project and the Classroom programme from 28 February to 2 March 2019 at RiHub in Rijeka.
