At the meeting on Thursday, July 18, in the premises of RiHub, the Assembly of PartnerRi Business Club association unanimously selected six projects that are currently being implemented in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County in the fields of culture, arts and social innovations, that they will co-finance in the total amount of HRK 100,000. In April, PartneRi Business Club announced the first call for project funding with the aim of raising the quality of life in the local community and promoting socially responsible behaviour and cooperation with the community through investments in culture, art and social innovation, for which they received 37 applications.
The PartneRi Business Club association has decided to fund six projects in the fields of culture, art and social innovations that they have unanimously selected; MemoRI 2020 – the project of the University of Rijeka Foundation, which promotes local heritage, significant individuals and stories through a social game memory; 202Orchestra – Zdravko Tomić’s project, the main aim of which is the inclusion and socialization of children of the socially most vulnerable groups through music; A.na.nas association presented the Ristep project within which artists will decorate several Rijeka’s stairways using various ceramic techniques; Lions Club Quarneroli Lovran – Quarneroli has conceived a project around Croats conquering the Arctic, an exhibition which aims to retell the history of the Arctic research in which 12 Croats participated and thanks to whom there is a Rt Fiume on the Arctic today; Istra Film organizes a History film festival for 2019 and will provide an inclusive movie theatre with screenings for people with visual and hearing impairment, while Filmaktiv’s project Who cares will deal with the problems of young people through a film in which young people are both the creators and the main characters.
The PartneRi Business Club is a philanthropic association that was founded in May 2018 with the goal of fostering long term philanthropic investment in cultural projects and becoming a platform for developing mutually beneficial partnerships between the business and the cultural sector. The initiative for forming a Business Club came from RIJEKA 2020 – a company responsible for the realization of the project Rijeka 2020 – the European Capital of Culture and was developed in cooperation with representatives of the business community from Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. Entrepreneurs supported the idea and initiated the founding of the PartneRi Business Club Association, the first philanthropic organization of entrepreneurs in Croatia that is focused on culture.
