Team members of the Irish ECoC 2020 candidate, Three Sisters 2020, visited Rijeka to present their bid and meet local producers
Team members of the Irish European Capital of Culture 2020 candidate, Three Sisters 2020, are touring Croatia and Rijeka was one of their stops. They have presented their bid and discussed possibilities of cooperation with local producers.
Rijeka 2020 team took them for a tour of the city with Mali salon at Korzo as the final stop where they attended the opening of the Rijeka 2020 Information and Presentation Centre. Michael and Katherine finished their visit with a discussion about their journey towards becoming the European Capital of Culture, a joint bid of Waterford, Kilkenny and Wexford counties under the name Three Sisters.
It did not take long to notice similarities between Rijeka and Three Sisters and between our bids based on similar premises and final goals. Future cooperation, regardless of the ECoC title, is guaranteed.
After the presentation, they’ve symbolically marked their city/cities on our map of European partners. Our bid is still evolving, along with our partner network.
