The programme is live! Two weeks left until the international conference on participatory governance in culture

The international, interdisciplinary conference Participatory Governance in Culture: Exploring Practices, Theories and Policies. DO IT TOGETHER! will be held from 22 to 24 November, in the Croatian House of Culture Sušak (Josipa Jurja Strossmayera 1).

It is organised by the Foundation “Kultura Nova” in partnership with Rijeka 2020 – ECOC and in collaboration with the European Cultural Foundation as part of the Approaches to participatory governance in culture project.

The conference includes many lecturers, plenary sessions, presentations and discussions on a wide array of topics regarding the challenges, limitations, paradoxes and perspectives faced by the research, practices and policies related to participatory governance in culture. The conference welcomes students, researchers, theoreticians, cultural agents, artists, representatives of cultural and artistic organisations, activists, creators and policy-makers from around the world and from a wide range of disciplines including anthropology, architecture, arts, art and culture management, cultural policies studies, cultural studies, development studies, economy, law, philosophy, political sciences, urbanism, spatial planning, sociology and more.

The conference ticket includes the option to participate in all sessions, artistic programmes, conference materials and meals (refreshments, lunch and dinner). Participation in evening lectures is free.

The conference is supported by the UNESCO International Fund for Cultural Diversity and the Central European Initiative regional intergovernmental forum, and is an ENCATC labelled event.
