Eye Net

The main objective of the project is to encourage young people to more active participation in social engagement and activism through the preparation of performances about ongoing and important social topics: solidarity in crisis, refugee crisis, Euroscepticism, anti-fascist tradition of EU and women’s rights.

EYE NET (European Youth Engagement Network) is co-financed by the European Union under the Europe for Citizens Program. It gathers partners from 5 European countries and deals with young citizens and basic values of the EU. The leading partner is Novi Sad 2021 – European Capitol of Culture, Novi Sad (Serbia) while other partners include Kulturno umetnisko drustvo Moment, Maribor (Slovenia), Municipality of Novo mesto, (Slovenia), Mladinski kulturni center Maribor (Slovenia),  Municipality of Sremski Karlovci (Serbia), Udruga CEKER – Centar kreativnog razvoja, Varazdin (Croatia), RIJEKA 2020 d.o.o., Rijeka (Croatia), Montažstroj, Zagreb (Croatia),  Theatre group „Drz ne daj“, Novi Sad (Serbia), LICEULICE, Belgrade (Serbia), Dom kulture “Studentski grad”, Belgrade (Serbia), Gea – Societa Cooperativa Sociale, Padova (Italy), Parlamento Europeo degli studenti, Padova (Italy), Consorzio Agora’ Societa’ Cooperativa Sociale, Genova (Italy), Kerekasztal Társulás, Szada (Hungary), Apollo Kulturális Egyesület, Pécs (Hungary).

The result of the project will be professionally directed performances based on the idea of young amateur actors and will be performed during EYE-NET International Festivals in all 5 countries. Duration of the project is 16 months, from 1st September 2018 to 31st December 2019. Activities by RIJEKA 2020 d.o.o. are implemented within the program line of 27 neighbourhoods in Lovran.
