As part of the European Capital of Culture project, Rijeka is organising a number of high-quality cultural, artistic and other events, whose creation a number of cultural institutions and organisations from Croatia participate in and which are worth participating in.
Croatia’s flag carrier airline, Croatia Airlines, is proud to have celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2019. Over the past three decades, by providing scheduled and charter passenger and cargo transportation services, Croatia Airlines has grown into a European airline recognised as a company whose flights are safe, whose staff is professional, and whose quality of service is high.
Since the company’s first ever flight, Croatia Airlines has operated more than 603,000 flights and has flown 40 million passengers. In the meantime, the company became a member of the most important aviation associations – IATA and Star Alliance.
Croatia Airlines offers you many travel options. On the Rijeka–Munich route, the airline will be operating flights between 14th April and 18th October, and this on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
The company has adapted the current winter timetable to meet the needs of its passengers. A novelty is that Croatia Airlines continues to operate flights on the Zagreb–Dublin and Zagreb–Barcelona routes even during the winter. You can also fly from Dubrovnik to Frankfurt, and from Split to Frankfurt, Munich or Rome – all year round.
Croatia Airlines has been contributing significantly to the development of Croatia’s tourism, given that, on an annual level, almost one-third of all tourists travelling to Croatia by air travel aboard the aircraft of Croatia Airlines.
Croatia’s flag carrier airline has continuously been an active sponsor and donor in the fields of culture, science, sports, etc. It is guided by the principles of social responsibility in its business operations, including the selection of projects or events which it will participate in.
This year, when Croatia presides over the Council of the European Union, Croatia Airlines is very pleased to support Rijeka, which is the 2020 hotspot of European culture.
