Franjo Tuđman Airport situated in the close proximity of Croatian capital opened its doors to passengers and traffic in spring 2017. One of the most modern and state-of-the-art passenger terminals in Europe has since marked record numbers in both passenger and freight traffic. These are followed by positive results by passenger satisfaction surveys and rewards. The world-renowned organization Airports Council International (ACI) recognized Franjo Tuđman Airport as „Most Improved Airport in Europe” in 2017. According to the same survey conducted in 2018, Franjo Tuđman Airport was declared the best airport in the group of European airports from 2 to 5 million passengers (Best in Class) in as many as 10 categories.
