Kristina Barišić

Before accepting the task of coordinating the Lungomare flagship, Kristina graduated in art history and philosophy from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka. She directed more than 20 notable videos and photo stories. She completed an advanced video film and editing workshop organised by the Filmaktiv organisation (2003) and made several experimental shorts. Her education continued at the Ante Peterlić School of Media Culture, organised by the Croatian Film Association (2011) and at the Ex Oriente workshop (a platform organized by the Czech Institute of Documentary Film) for the development of the hybrid film Refineri in 2014. She did her art internship at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rijeka (2013-2014).

She is one of the co-founders of Poligon, an organisation that works with film and multimedia production, and a member of the Distune promotion team, but also works as a producer for the Impulse festival. Main Course (“Glavno jelo”, 2018) is her first short film.
