Barbara was born in Rijeka and, to use her own words, grew up and was raised as a true Rijeka girl to be open-minded, honest and straight-forward.

After finishing the Classical Gymnasium and mastering many Latin and Old Greek words, she fell in love with the arts, at the same time realising that she preferred reality. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business in Rijeka, got a job, got married, had a baby. Now, having set her priorities in life, she has decided the time is ripe for Rijeka, for RIJEKA 2020. Here, she is in charge of public procurement.

In her free time, she runs, runs, and runs some more. That said, she likes coffee and the Korzo promenade more. Most of all, though, she loves – coffee on the Korzo.
